This lounge-style party produced and hosted by star DJ Shinichi Osawa is a favorite of people who just can’t wait for the weekend. This month’s special guest is dancehall songstress Minmi, who will be joined by Taku from hip-hop unit m-flo and Bonjour Records mastermind Masashi Uemura. It’s going to be soulful, funky evening.

MINMI
Minmi forged her career as part of a dancehall and reggae crew in Osaka. She began singing in clubs around 1995, making her major debut in August 2002 with the single “The Perfect Vision” on Victor. In 2005 her track “Summertime” led to her being invited to perform in Trinidad and Tobago. The following year the song was nominated for best track at the Soka Awards in New York. She won third best female artist at Trinidad’s MONARCH INTERNATIONAL music festival. Her best hits album MINMI BEST 2002-2008 was release in June 2008.

☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo)
Taku Takahashi is a member of music production crew m-flo. He produces tracks for artists including Crystal Kay and Sowelu, as well as doing various remixes and solo tracks.

Masashi Uemura (Bonjour Records / OFF THE ROCKER)
Masashi Uemura is the buyer of Daikanyama record emporium Bonjour Records. As a DJ he spins the trendiest tracks and even the Kitsune guys describe him as “Japan’s Kitsune”. Since 2006 he has been part of DJ unit OFF THE ROCKER, which supported Shinichi Osawa on his Japan tour.
