The Rainbow Disco Club marked living legend DJ Harvey’s triumphant return to Japan after 8 years at the Harumi Boat Terminal, a futuristic pier on the edge of Tokyo Bay.
Instantly attracting a 4,000 strong crowd of festival goes, the RDC set a new standard in Japan’s music scene claiming a stake as one of the leading underground musical encounters.

On the 31st of December 2010, the Rainbow Disco Club invites you to continue its adventure together into the New Year at a real gem of a venue in TABLOID, a massive bayside warehouse converted into a photo studio / event space / gallery.
NY legend METRO AREA, our favorite act from the Rainbow Disco Club in May, will be joining us as well as FLOATING POINTS; a UK talent leading a new wave of futuristic dance music. Additionally, live band act 9DW will complete what promises to be a incredible night of music.

The culture of SOHO in New York City was born out of artists pioneering industrial spaces into their work studios.
Just as London’s SOUTH BANK was born out of the conversion of a retired power plant into the TATE MODERN museum, there are similarities in these two acts.
The creative process is stimulated by the creation of new that stimulate artists to continue creating new things. This is what we have aimed for. By converting something old into a sanctuary for art, we can start a new culture.

From this desire, in April 2010 from a retired warehouse was created TABLOID, the space that will be hosting the next edition of the RAINBOW DISCO CLUB. In this choice of venue we hope to advocate a new style of party and with the work of the talented creators who built this space, we invite you to come and experience TABLOID.
