Movie director Spike Jonze’s first love story, “I'm here” is soon to be available in a Japanese boxed set including a DVD, CD and book, titled “THERE ARE MANY OF US”. An exhibition of Spike’s photographs, sketches and other related works will go on show at DIESEL ART GALLERY from Feb 19. Also the works of people who helped with the movie, including robot designer Sonny Gerasimowiz mouse model maker Meryl Smith and Aska Matsumiya, who did the soundtrack are also on show.
Aaron Bondaroff
Born in New York in 1977. After working for Supreme he created his own label Off Bowery.
ASKA
With a background in classical music, Aska Matsumiya has charmed the LA art scene with her mesmerising singing voice. Before launching her solo career, Aska was a member of conceptual art band THE SADS, which played all over the US and Europe. She is also a member of 30-member L.A. LADIES CHOIR, where she arranges, composes and conducts. The choir’s first EP was released in October 2010, featuring four original tracks and one Yoko Ono cover. Aska recently gained yet more attention as she did the soundtrack for Spike Jonze’s short film “I’m here”.
