Born on May 20th in 1959, Yone is same age as Barbie dolls and The Tokyo Tower, 50 years old: a grown man with a solemn child’s mind. Famed for his depictions of women on cheki-type Polaroid film, Yone has become a cult figure both in Japan and, increasingly, overseas.

TOKYO DANDY

When English fashion photographer Dan Bailey, whose dry wit makes him a good candidate for a spot in the comedy series “Little Britain,” hooked up with Japanese style hound Joe in May 2008, they created the website TOKYO DANDY. Based on Dan’s amazing photo collages that document the cooler side of the Tokyo club scene and Joe’s acerbic commentary on global fashion happenings, the site soon won a fanatical following. Last month, the pair was cited by WWD Japan as the most influential fashion bloggers in Japan.

Mayu Kondo from Punkadelix is an art director and graphic designer, who creates visual images for advertisements for various fashion brands and magazines both in and outside of Japan. She handles DJing, party creations and designing artworks on her fun-oriented project PUNKADELIX. Based in Tokyo, she plays an important role in club events and many fashion parties here and there.

After an apprenticeship with renowned art director William Baker in London in 2007, Gui moved to Tokyo, where he currently works as a photographer. He is also known for his astounding drumming skills, honed during countless shows played on the underground punk scene of Sao Paulo and London. After moving to Tokyo in 2005, he was recruited to play for the now-defunct group the Vivians and in 2009 joined Gimme Um with Tim Sullivan, aka DAS MOTH. Gui is also in demand as a DJ at some of Tokyo’s edgiest club events.

Born and raised in Paris. At the age of 12 rap became his primary influence as a form of music he could connect to on a raw level. At the age of 20 he was scouted in Paris and began modeling, soon after he found himself in Tokyo where he too worked as a model. For the past five years he has travelled and lived between Paris and Tokyo as a video creator/model/DJ and learning as he goes along. He runs the event ONIGIRI FRIDAYS, which was a mellow party held at Trump House in Shibuya on Fridays.
