At the same time, JEBSKI was absorbing himself into 90's London underground electric music culture, like Warp, Rising High and also getting his interest into wide range of underground music like German Techno like Tresor, Basic Channel, Detroit Techno like Juan Atkins/Kevin Sanderson/Derick May/Jeff Mills/Carl Craig/UR, Chicago House, Drum'n'Bass, Ambient, Electronica,Dub Reggae, etc. Naturally JEBSKI started his own music which has been released in various form so far. On the other hand G.Mitchell played some keyboard on some of JEBSKI's tracks which will be compiled into his album. JEBSKI is not DJ. He is rather not DJing and mainly focusing on laptop PC live set which is developed in originally made reatkor ensemble with 128 knobs and buttons midi controller. This is very unique style of PC live set and called "digital dub mix" which is much influenced from studio works with Jamaican dub artist back in 90's London. It is almost constructing sequence manually by himself through the whole live set, never let computer to make song sequence. His original PC live set is highly regarded.
- STYLE AND INFLUENCE -
Silent voices from all over the world are coming through my head, and that causes me chain reactions in my mind, which makes me share the bubbling with joy, but also aware of sorrows, hardships, salvation. For the past 15 years I've had precious chances to visit various places of the world. I started my musical career since 97' as a recording engineer in London. Absorbing myself into dance music culture in 90's as well as electric listning music from "Warp""Rising High""R&S"etc, I spent lots of sessions at the studio with Caribian musicians, e.g."Carol Thompson""Sabdra Cross""Micheal Prophet"etc. It was such a fun. I'd learnt many things about the ways to approach creativity mostly from spiritual aspects. Specially for jamaican who spent a hard time in 60's&70's, "Reggae" is a sanctuary to show their identity. I never forget the words they said "If Bob Marley didn't exsist, I would be dead or in jail by now". When I had stayed in Bali for recording their traditional ethnic music like gamelan, kecak that is meant to pray to Hinduism god, I experienced the system of "caste" which means they can never change social standing until their death. Among those situation, the resonant sound of gamelan ensemble echoed through the night sky totally stands aloof from the world. I also had a chance to visit Iran in 04' for a live recording at world heritage "Persepolis". One of Iranian friends that I met sang a traditional iranian song for me before parting. I can still sing those melody line full of sorrow. A musician playing persian "santur" taught me taht "santur" is the origin of "piano" with his smile, while we discussed taht for more than 60 years they have been continually faced by difficulties of the Middle East. Those experiences drive me into transforming acousitc influences into audio sound waves and also make me wonder what is my purpose to be a musician on this planet. The only thing I can tell is that there is always music besides our life as emotional mainstay in any circumstance all over the world. So,I decide to throw my ego away and dedicate my life to music under my self-awareness.
