DJ YAHMAN is a Tokyo-based DJ, who makes full use of the music genre ”jungle”, which is a form of dance music that stir one's blood.
Not only his strictly jungle sets, he's good at extracting jungle elements and sensations from various types of music. He also has the enormous musical background to perform 6 hrs sets mixing music from the early 1920s to the 2020s.
He founded the junglist crew called “CHAMPION BASS” with his boys back in 2002.
In 2009, he and his friends formed a crew called "Tribal Connection" (Currently 5 members) which further expands the jungle's attractiveness. In November 2024, celebrates their 15th anniversary.
From 2019, he produced, edit and published a series of non-profit zines about the jungle called “JUNGLE DOCUMENT,”
Not only in Japan, but he has DJ’d overseas such as Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, and China. He has provided mixes for Internet Public Radio in Mexico.
Recent years, he participated as the main DJ for the UK underground party "Keep Hush"s first Japan tour in 2022 and also Tim Reaper's first Japan Tour 2023 in Tokyo.
