KIDO YOJI is a young singer/composer/studio boy from Tokyo affiliated with the sublime indie-dance label, Kidzrec, in tokyo. During his 6 years of studying abroad in New York, he experienced the world of music including 70s funk, disco, jazz and also a contemporary indie band sound. There, he gained his musical background as a jazz/funk guitarist, and also learned how to produce songs with his lovely vintage synthesizer. After He came back to Japan, he decides to produce himself as a musician. His demos were uncovered by 80kidz(kidzrec) and soon, he initially made a name for himself in 2010 with a remix of Yes Giantess' "Tuff' N stuff" which charted in Top 20s on the itunes electronic chart without any promotion. His original tracks were recognized by James Curd from Greenskeepers and his first EP "Won't you Come Again" was finally released in 2011.
