80年代初頭より、日本のクラブ音楽シーン黎明期から現在まで常にその先端、中心部にいてシーンを創り、支えている一人。ボーカリスト、DJ、音楽プロデューサー、作詞、作曲、編曲まで手掛けるコンポーザー、リミキサー、トラックメーカー、ナレーター、コリオグラファー、モデル、俳優など様々な顔を持つ。1978年よりミュージシャンとしての活動と共に、1980年よりDJ活動も開始。1983年にはHIPHOP DANCE CREW "B★5 CREW"を結成し、初代リーダーとして活動。数々のショーにも出演し、タレントや歌手やバンドなどの振り付けや、東映の映画「ビッグマグナム黒岩先生」のブレイクダンス指導も担当。日本テレビでの生放送番組「鶴ちゃんのプッツン５」にレギュラー出演し、天気予報をラップで行うという異色コーナー"HIPHOP天気予報"のラッパーとしても人気を博す。1984年にキングレコードからデビューしたNEW WAVE FUNK BAND "AFRIKA"のボーカリストを経て、近田春夫らと共に結成して1987年3月より活動を開始したHIPHOP BAND "VIBRASTONE"のMC＆ボーカリストとしても知られ、1991年にPONY CANYONからデビューして数作のアルバムとシングル作品などをリリース。C+C MUSIC FACTRY、Bootsy's Rubber Band、Fishbone、FFF、など多くの海外アーティストとの共演を含め、アメリカではNYでのNew Music Seminorや、フランスでは全国ツアーをはじめレンヌミュージックフェスティバルにも出演、日本では横浜でのWorld of Music, Arts and Dance（WOMAD）に出演したりする他、国内外で精力的にライブ活動も行いつつも1995年に脱退。また多くのCM作品の他、小泉今日子、桐島かれん、バナナフリッターズ、GIRLS BE、hide(X-JAPAN)、Flea、Jephte Guillaume、Groove Collective、黒人映画監督としても知られるMelvin Van Peeblesなどの他、多くのアーティストとのコラボレーション作品も数多く手掛け、デジタルグルーブ歌謡曲、 Jungle Oasis inc、Ecstasy Boys、D.T.Constructionでのシングルやアルバム作品など、プロデュース作品やリミックス作品も多く、国内外の数多くのアーティストとの共演は勿論、Mo'WAX、STricTLY RHyTHM、ATTIC、などの海外レーベルからも作品がリリースされている。DJとしても国内外問わずSpinして来たClub PartyやEventは数知れず、2015年に開店36年を迎えて惜しまれつつも閉店してしまった老舗クラブ西麻布328をはじめ、数多くのClubやPartyでレジデントDJを務め、"D.T.Construction"や"Ecstasy Boys"などのメンバーとしての活動の他、1998年より自らレコードレーベル"Golden Gutsy Records"を主宰。東京都内を中心に、各地のクラブなどでの様々なPartyやEventでのDJやライブ活動を勢力的に行っている。また、2010年にSFアニメ映画"REDLINE"のサントラリミックスを手掛け、2011年には山本政志監督による映画「スリー☆ポイント」の映画音楽を担当。そして、2011年の夏に発売された久保田麻琴プロデュースによるAWA GROOVES & REMIXES "ぞめき四"にもD.T.Construction名義で参加。2010年にはDJとしての活動も30周年を迎え、2012年にかけてのDJ活動30周年ツアーの中、「いのちの祭り」、「高野山1000年祭り」などにも参加。2012年9月に公開された山本政志監督作品映画「アルクニ物語」や、2013年春に公開された山本政志監督の新作長編映画「水の声を聞く」のプロローグ篇及び、2014年〜2015年に公開された本編の映画音楽も担当している。2013年10月〜11月にはヨーロッパやカリブの島々に１ヶ月以上に渡り、フランスのミクスチャーFUNKバンド"FFF"のベーシストでもあるNIKTUS達との新ユニット"deep papa"のレコーディングを兼ねてのLIVE＆DJツアーを敢行。2014年7月にはマキシシングル"deep papa"をリリース。2015年には"TOKYO COWBOYS"による映画「Till Death」への挿入曲を担当。更に"岩崎工（TAKUMI Iwasky）"のソロシングル曲"Shake! Shake! Shake!"のRemixや"KICK&TURN"のRemixをD.T.Construction名義で手掛けるなど、現在も自身のレーベルからのリリースは勿論、海外のレーベルからも楽曲やRemix作品などのニューリリースをマイペースに続けながら更に活動の幅を広げている。2016年8月には故郷の兵庫県姫路市（世界文化遺産＆国宝「姫路城」の城下町の塩町の西端）にソーシャルカフェスタイルのD.J. BAR & ART GALLERY "TORUS D.J.BAR"をプロデュース。2017年4月にロードショー公開された奥田庸介監督作品映画「ろくでなし」のクラブシーン音楽を担当。2020年にDJ活動も40周年を迎え、11月に公開された山本政志監督作品映画「脳天パラダイス」への出演及び楽曲提供、2021年12月にはEcstasy Boysの1994年にavexからリリースされたアルバム"Moon Dance"のリマスターを手掛け、そのアルバムが2022年2月23日に世界初アナログレコード化されて2LP帯付きでリリースされる。更に2003年より自らレジデントDJとして様々なCLUBやBARなどの店舗にて開催されているレジデントパーティー"FUTUREDELIC NIGHT"は2025年で22年目を迎える。

1984年にキングレコードよりアルバムデビューしたNEW WAVE FUNK BAND「AFRIKA」にボーカルとして参加。ソロ活動を経て、1986年に44MAGNUMの広瀬"JIMMY"さとし達と共にMIXTURE FUNK BAND「Yellow Soul Army」を結成（1989年解散）。同年、近田春夫＆NEW BANDに参加。1987年3月には近田春夫らと共に日本語によるHIPHOP & FUNK BAND『VIBRASTONE』を結成。1988年には新たにレコーディングユニット「Dr.Tommy & SPICE」を結成（1993年解散）、1991年にINTERNATIONAL PARTY UNIT「Jungle Oasis inc」結成（1995年解散）。そして、1989年よりゲストメンバーとして参加していたEcstasy Boysに1992年に正式加入。1994年にはDr.Tommy名義でのソロアルバムをリリース。1995年には自身によるライフワークProject「D.T.Construction」を開始、現在に至る。

A long term funkateer and experienced producer.
Since the early 80's, he has been at the forefront and center of the Japanese club music scene, creating and supporting the scene from its dawn to the present. He is a vocalist, DJ, music producer, composer, remixer, track maker, narrator, choreographer, model, actor, etc. He started his career as a musician in 1978 and as a DJ in 1980. In 1983, he formed the HIPHOP DANCE CREW "B5 CREW" and became its first leader. He has appeared in numerous shows, choreographed for celebrities, singers, and bands, and taught breakdancing for the Toei movie "Big Magnum Kuroiwa Sensei. He has also appeared regularly on the live TV show "Tsuru-chan's Putton 5" on Nippon Television, and gained popularity as a rapper for the unique corner "HIPHOP Weather Forecast," in which he raps the weather forecast. He is also known as the MC and vocalist of the HIPHOP FUNK BAND "VIBRASTONE", which was formed with Haruo Chikada and others and started its activities in March 1987. He released several albums and singles, and performed energetically in Japan and abroad, but left the group in 1995. In addition to many commercials, he has collaborated with artists such as Kyoko Koizumi, Karen Kirishima, Banana Fritters, GIRLS BE, hide (X-JAPAN), Flea, Jephte Guillaume, Groove Collective, and Melvin Van Peebles, known as a black film director, He has collaborated with many artists, and has produced and remixed many works, including singles and albums for Digital Groove Songs, Jungle Oasis inc, Ecstasy Boys, and D.T.Construction, as well as many domestic and international collaborations with many artists. As a DJ, he has spun at countless club parties and events both in Japan and abroad, and in 2015, after 36 years of its opening, it was closed by the long-established club West Marijuana. He has been a resident DJ at many clubs and parties, including the long-established Nishiazabu club 328, which closed in 2015 after 36 years of operation. In 1998, he started his own record label, "Golden Gutsy Records". He has been active as a DJ and live performer at various parties and events at clubs around Tokyo and other cities. In 2010, he remixed the soundtrack for the science fiction anime movie "REDLINE," and in 2011, he was in charge of the music for the movie "ThreePoints" directed by Masashi Yamamoto. In 2010, he celebrated his 30th anniversary as a DJ, and during his 30th anniversary tour in 2012, he performed "Inochi no Matsuri", "Takano no Matsuri", "Inochi no Matsuri", "Takano no Matsuri", "Inochi no Matsuri", "Inochi no Matsuri", and "Takano no Matsuri". In 2020, he will celebrate his 40th anniversary as a DJ, and will perform and provide music for the movie "Brain Paradise" directed by Masashi Yamamoto, which was released in November, and in December, 2021, he will be a member of Ecstasy Boys' 1979 film, "The Last of the 1960s", which was released in Japan in December. In December 2021, he remastered Ecstasy Boys' 1994 album "Moon Dance" released by avex, and the album will be released on February 23, 2022 as the world's first analog record with a 2LP sleeve. In addition, "Futuredelic Night," a monthly resident party held at various clubs and bars since 2003 as a resident DJ, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023.
