2月8日（現地時間）に、アメリカ・ロサンゼルスのステープルズ・センターで第57回グラミー賞授賞が開催され、豪華アーティスト達によるパフォーマンスはもちろん、注目の受賞者と受賞作品が発表となった。

サム・スミスは最優秀レコード賞を含む主要3部門で見事受賞を果たし、ベックのアルバム「Morning Phase」が年間最優秀アルバムに輝いた。

ダンス系はクリーン・バンディット（Clean Bandit）の「Rather Be」が最優秀ダンス・レコーディング賞を受賞し、最優秀ダンス・エレクトロニック・アルバム賞に輝いたのはエイフェックス・ツイン（Aphex Twin）13年ぶりのオリジナル・アルバム『Syro』。そして、ティエスト（Tiesto）によるリミックスが最優秀リミックス・レコーディング賞を受賞した。
