SHODAI, is a japanese bilingual singer, songwriter, producer and DJ. Born in raised in New Zealand, has been inspired by the legendary Punk band “Blink 182”’s genius drummer Travis Barker during his teens and started drumming. He has been dedicated to his band-life during this era that he played signature pieces from “Blink 182”, such as “What’s My Age Again?” and “All The Small Things”. After coming back to Japan, of the age of 14 years old. He stared making his own track bass by drums. A few years later SHODAI has been picked up by Sound Producer Zen Nishizawa who produced Jin Akanishi and 5 member group “MYNAME” from Korea, and released “Let It Go” on Youtube gathering hype. On 2014/8/22, SHODAI also self-produced the event “The DreamWorld 2014” which was held in Shinkiba Studio Coast the biggest club in Japan gathering more than 3,000 people attended. From September, SHODAI has been appearing as an Assistant Personality on “Block.fm”, a Japan’s first radio station exclusively playing dance music produced by “m-floTaku Takahashi”. For “Ultra Japan 2014” SHODAI has been chosen to interview the much awaited “Alesso”’s first time arrival in Japan. He has also been called as a guest DJ for “CREAM presents WHATEVER -FINAL-“. On 2014 Dec. SHODAI released his second single “STOP ME RIGHT NOW” produced with the remarkable HIP HOP unit, “Alpha”’s Track Maker TOMOTH.
