"'Biwa Pri-Illumination 2022' - a concert of lights illuminating the lakeside -" with the theme of "Slow Night" to enjoy Lake Biwa at dusk will be held until Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Biwako Otsu Prince Hotel located in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.
As one of the Slow Night spots in the SLOW OTSU, an event organized by the city of Otsu to attract tourists, there will be an outdoor poolside illumination event, including an illumination event near the hotel entrance.
This year's highlights, which are in their second year, are based on the theme color "Blue," with a photo spot in the garden area beside the hotel entrance featuring the "O" sign of the OTSU, and four 8-meter-high blue crystal illuminations decorating the trees at the hotel entrance.
In addition, the outdoor pool in the facility is lit up with blue and gold LEDs that take advantage of the reflection of the 90 m length of the pool's water surface, giving a different impression depending on the angle from which it is viewed from the ground or from the guest rooms.
During the period, a limited-time bar lounge is also open at the lobby lounge Portonio (1st floor), where you can spend a relaxing time with the bright blue lights in front of you. Sweets and refreshments will be served, including a special SLOW OTSU cocktail.
