Tom Langford began his DJ career in 2000 in the U.K., spinning trance and progressive-house. Notable achievements at this time include performing at “Escape”, and playing a warm-up set at “Gate-Crasher”.
In 2006 he moved to London, and worked for such labels as “Hooj”, “Airtight”, “Tirk”, and “Lost Language”. At this time his musical interests moved into deep house, techno, disco, and soul. He began producing bootleg disco edits, and achieved several track releases.
In 2008 he moved to Japan, purchased load of classic analogue studio hardware, and began to focus seriously on music production.
In 2009 he began gigging in Japan, and has played at clubs such as “Atlantis”, “Domina”, “Radix”, “R-Base”, “Arena”, and also at Lea Lea with Stereophonic.
His influences include “Moodyman”, “Larry Heard”, “Basic Channel”, “Derreck May”, “Aroy Dee”, “Chicago Skyway” and “Terry Callier”, and he favors labels such as “Trax”, “Clone”, “Eargasmic”, “Mathematics”, “Prime Numbers”, and “Airtight”. A self-confessed vinyl junky, Tom prefers the physical feel of records as well as the warm deep sound.
He describes himself as unpretentious, and admits happily that he likes “taking it easy”...
