Nagoya DnB legend Steve began his DJ career in 1998 in Christchurch, New Zealand, and was active there until 2005. As part of notable crews “1080” and “Scientific”, he gigged regularly at clubs such as “Ministry”, “Base”, and “Daega Bar”. In `98, `99, and 2000, he performed at “The Gathering”, New Zealand`s largest electronic dance music festival. From `99 to 2005 he ran a popular DnB radio show called “Electric Company”. He has performed with an impressive list of international artists such as Roni Size, Zinc, Digital, Concord Dawn, Marcus Intalex, Total, Bulletproof, MC Tali, Storm, Goldie, Makoto, Goth-Trad, and DJ Aki.
Moving to Nagoya in 2006, he immediately made an impact on the scene, and has appeared in such clubs as “Domina”, “Atlantis”, “Mago”, “Radix”, “JBs”, “Daytrive”, “Arena”, “R-Base”, and “Mavericks”. Outside of Nagoya he has played in Kobe, at “Trinity”, in Handa, at “Kingston”, and in Utsumi, at “Asia”.
A core member of Nagoya`s famous DnB crew “W-Double”, he has also worked with “Xlntz”, and recently with “Nagoya Bass Coalition”. In 2011 he played regularly at the infamous Lea Lea parties with “Stereophonic”, and he often performs with DJ Zuiryo and MC Argo...
