French indie power pop duo JAMAICA invites you to a special celebration of their debut album "NO PROBLEM" with very special guests and friends. They will play Fuji Rock on July 30th and we've got them for an exclusive DJ set! This is a must-attend event!!
JAMAICA (SPECIAL DJ SET)
Formerly known as Poney Poney, the Parisian duo of Antoine Hilaire and Flo Lyonnet are now known as JAMAICA. Their sound could be described as French-indie-power-pop combining catchy pop rock songs with super-tight electro productions, somewhere between Phoenix and Justice. Their debut album "NO PROBLEM" to be released in August is produced by Xavier de Rosnay from Justice and Peter Franco (also known for his work on Justice and Daft Punk), and was recorded in Paris at Motorbass studio (Philippe Zdar) and Justice Studio. SO ME directed the video for their hit single "I Think I Like U 2". Their track "Short and Entertaining" was used on the Kitsune Maison 9 compilation.

PELI
Growing up, PELI was exposed to a lot of '80s sounds thanks to her music-loving music parents. She later discovered hip-hop and then reggae, ska, punk, rock ’n’ roll, swing and various other genres. Among these, she developed a particular affinity for rockabilly and early punk. Sometimes she adds electro to her playlist in order to match the vibe of a party, but her style is heavily influenced by the mashup style popularized by 2 Many DJs, legendary rock DJ event LONDON NITE and the '80s sounds loved by her parents. Besides her work as a DJ, PELI also works as a stylist, mostly for fashion magazines, as well as on music videos for music acts. Her ability to link fashion and music have made her Tokyo’s foremost fashionista DJ.
