After a summer hiatus, Tokyo Indie is back with a BANG! This November we will be celebrating our first anniversary and we are doing it with our usual overdose of panache, style and aplomb. It has been twelve months of great music, wild parties and spilt beer since we started our events back in Sangenjaya and to celebrate this, we are bringing you the BIGGEST and BEST event yet.

On the 20th November we are holding our birthday party back at Under Deer Lounge, where we brought you the legendary Mani from the Stone Roses. For the big night we are getting primordial, Jurassic, even late Cretaceous in bringing you one of the most talked about underground acts in the UK, the magnificent Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEEDs for short) is the alias of one Orlando Dinosaur who hails from Oxfordshire and is the son of an Oxford University music professor. TEEDs shot to fame with the summer song “Garden” which racked up a pack of fans including BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac.

Since then TEEDs has bolstered his repertoire and some dance floor filling remixes for the likes of Crystal Fighters, Fenech-Soler and Darwin Deez.

TEEDs third EP, Household Goods, is released on 8 November, on Joe Goddard from Hot Chip's Greco-Roman label, and he joins us at Tokyo Indie playing in on his very first visit to Japan!

Unlike an 'ordinary' DJ set, he bounces relentlessly between laptop, keyboards, a drum machine and a sampler while providing live vocals. His sound swings between sweet melody, thunderous bass and scarily on-point dance floor intuition, ripping up clubs around the globe with a live show of bizarre instruments, glitter cannons and of course…dancing dinosaurs.
