Organized by sense of quiet MUSIC LAB
Formed in 2017 by Saeko Kurokawa (clarinet) and Yosuke Tanaka (guitar).
"Nyabo" means Mrs. and "Ssebo" means Mr. in Uganda. Their project name comes from the sound of words that left an impression on Kurokawa when she visited Uganda. The nostalgic sound of clarinet and gut guitar is the centerpiece of their beautiful ensemble, which skillfully incorporates South American essence and irregular meters. This is a new kind of chamber music that never existed before.
