Ryukyu folk song master "Kouei Tsuha"'s first online live streaming concert is confirmed! Born in Yomitan Village, Okinawa in 1952. His father is the world's oldest Ryukyu folk song artist "Kotoku Tsuha" who is 94-year-old this year. He made his debut from the long-established Ryukyu folk song label “Marufuku Records”, and has been active not only in Japan but also in Taiwan close to Okinawa. He is working as one of the best singers in the Ryukyu folk songs scene, including the release of the song “Momoto Fumiagari(百十踏揚)” in 2012 which was created with the theme of a Ryukyu Kingdom Story “Gosamaru: Amawari no ran” in 1458. Due to the Covid pandemic, Kouei Tsuha was unable to perform at live concerts in Japan (Mainland Japan) and Okinawa for about a year. This time he is going to hold his first online streaming concert! The offline live performance will also be conducted at the same time with audiences who will maintain social distance and obey COVID-19 precautions thoroughly. To overcome the Covid by “Singing about Okinawa”!
