Since it's genesis in 2010, Rainbow Disco Club, or "RDC" for short, has been faithfully held at Tokyo's Harumi Passenger Terminal, directly facing the Rainbow Bridge. As it gets dark, the bridge lights up in an array of colors, hence the origin of the name "Rainbow Disco Club." You can get an idea of what the vibe is like by checking out the highlights from last year.

This year, however, the organizers have decided to evolve the one-day urban event, into a full three-day outdoor camping festival. The new location at Higashi Izu Cross Country Site should look amazing in Golden Week's spring colors while offering a stunning view of the ocean and town below.

This years lineup doesn't disappoint either. Headlining are Modern Deep Left Quartet, composed of Canada's best electronic musicians: Mathew Jonson, The Mole, Tyger Dhula, and Danuel Tate, and Amsterdam's Rush Hour Allstars (Antal, San Proper, and Young Marco), and recently announced king of Norwegian Disco Tood Terje. Joining them are Ata, XBD, Tim Sweeney, Session Victim, DJ Nobu, Kaoru Inoue, DJ Masda, So Inagawa, and Sisi. We can't wait to see what the rest of the lineup looks like.

How do you get there? From Tokyo or Shinjuku, just hop on the Odoriko or the Super Odoriko train to Izuinatori Station and from there it's just a ten minute taxi ride. You don't have to transfer and the whole trip should take around two and a half hours.

Driving is also an option and should take around the same amount of time. Just remember to purchase a parking ticket.

Tickets are available from iFLYER. We hope to see you there.
